For
almost two decades, I have enjoyed the privilege
of designing the annual "Music In The
Air" poster. During my time at two previous
employers, and since 1986 at my own graphic
design studio - Rickabaugh
Graphics, it has been a rewarding
labor of love. The words, "Music in the
Air", may seem simple on the surface
but they have continued annually to offer
up a rich variety of concepts - paper airplane
sheet music, balloon suspended sax players,
heroes lofting music notes. Each year has
brought a new way of looking at the same four
inspirational words. The results have won
us many national and international awards
but the most fun we have had in the past 20
years is sharing these ideas with the Columbus
community.
Thanks to this gallery of past Music in the
Air posters, we get to share them all over
again. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much
as we enjoyed designing them.
